Fauvism –form becomes expression

It began in 1905 but broke down after two years. The word Fauves refers to wild animals because of their colour and violence and the unbounded brushworks. Andre Derain, maurie De Vlamnick, Racul Dufy, Kees Van Dongen and Matisse from impressionism and post impressionism, they were interested in communication and their colour for them was means of communication- expression.
